I worked at Snyppit (previously known as Instavid) as the Director of Engineering and the first employee who help to build the product from ground up. This is during the time where Vine haven't taken off and Instagram is still focusing on video.
Our core strategy was to be Instagram for Video and the biggest one in Asia that offers stickers that every Asia application would have done it.
We launched both iOS and Android app in first quarter of 2013. We are selected to be the Best of 2013 in 'Split Second Video' category in five Asia markets. However, we failed to gain enough traction to further the effort.
Overall, we did very well, considering we have to fight against with giants like Twitter's Vine and Facebook's Instagram.
